1. Accepting these terms
By using Otapin, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the service.
Otapin is for users who are 18 or older.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login details safe. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account.
3. Buyers and tickets
A ticket is a revocable licence to attend an event. It is issued by the event organizer, not by Otapin as the event host. Otapin is a marketplace and ticketing platform.
Tickets are personal to the buyer or transferee. QR codes are single-use. Entry remains subject to the organizer's and venue's lawful rules.
4. Organizers
Organizers are responsible for their events happening as described, for accurate listings, for honouring valid tickets, and for complying with the law.
Organizers must not list fake, misleading, or fraudulent events. They must have the rights to event images and content they upload.
5. Fees and escrow
Buyers pay a service fee currently set at 7% plus NGN 100 on top of the ticket price. Organizers currently pay 0% commission.
Otapin holds ticket revenue and pays it out to the organizer after the event, typically within 24 hours of the event ending. Payments are processed by Paystack, and we do not store card data.
6. Prohibited conduct
You must not use Otapin for fraud, forged tickets, abusive scalping, scraping, reselling in violation of these terms, or attempts to interfere with the platform.
7. Event content
Organizers give Otapin permission to display event titles, descriptions, images, venue details, ticket details, and related content so we can promote and operate the event page.
Organizers confirm they have the rights needed to upload and use that content.
8. Cancellations and refunds
Refunds and cancellations are covered by the Refund Policy. Otapin may cancel fraudulent or unsafe listings and take steps to protect buyers.
9. Liability and indemnity
Otapin is a platform, not the event organizer. We are not responsible for how an event is run, venue conditions, artist changes, crowd management, or other organizer-controlled matters.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Otapin's liability is limited. You agree to indemnify Otapin for losses caused by your misuse of the platform or breach of these terms.
10. Suspension, changes, and law
We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse Otapin, break these terms, or create safety or fraud risks.
We may update these terms as the product changes. Nigerian law governs these terms.
